Francis Baptiste knows there's a lot in a language. His latest album, Family (Snəqsilxʷ), is a culmination of songs in both English and nsyilxcən [nah-silx-sin], the language of the Syilx peoples. Today, fewer than 150 fluent speakers of nsyilxcən, Baptiste's grandmother's mother tongue, remain.
